I would sign the petition not because it would have any marked effect on ...anything, but under the condition that wikileaks' founder and employees volunteered to disclosed all internal emails, texts and business transactions related to the company. Furthermore, allow two camera crews to follow Assange 24 hours a day with live feeds to all electronic/telephonic devices as well as audio/video cameras set inside any office or properties used by the organization. Now THAT is transparency.

Totally agree, privacy and secrets are important. Maybe one camera crew, the other can follow his staff about their daily life.

Screw Wikileaks, I hope their servers melt from DDoS and Assange gets thrown in jail. He's a anarchist with a grudge against the US military, not a journalist. Dropping docs is not something to be admired, even when it's funny as hell. He's lucky he's not important enough to spirit off to some secret facility for enhanced interrogation.

I'm pretty sure nobody's being forced to post in this thread. Yeah it's offtopic but so what? There are plenty of offtopic threads here - it's clearly labeled offtopic and those who are sick of the "all wikileaks all the time" news cycle can probably click a different link. Pretty sure there's a good headphone thread around here somewhere....

lol wot? not worry being attacked??? Are you serious?!!!! Do you know HOW EASY is to make a terrorist attack? I could leave a bag hidden under the subway seats or plant explosives, without anyone knowing! Better: I can cause general panic with small attacks by destroying small bridges with explosives, causing civilian unrest. EVEN BETTER: i can carry a bag full with explosives and walk into a mall, in chrismas shopping period. Man, it's so easy....LOL
Oh and another one: do you know what EMP means? Do you know that most of the city structures don't have shielding against this kind of attack?
