I dunno... maybe just as DNB can have a jump up sub genre....?

Just for the sake of argument:

'Deep' Dubstep: Minimal sine wave sub bass, delay and echo, influenced by 'dub' reggae and sparse, almost - minimal 2-step beats.

'Jump-Up' Dubstep: 'Ravey' square wave, multi-layered synths, bit-crushed and formant filtered. Over four to the floor kick drum and massive compressed to shit snares on 3rd beat. Trancey stabs etc.

    Simple

Sometimes when I'm at a dubstep show I jump up a beat before the drop... but I usually jump too high and come down after the drop
You don't gotta jump slow, you just gotta jump high

vaski has some of the best club dubstep.

theres also a skrillex song, i cant think of the name. but but it has a really dance-y build up and then a quick pause and BOOM you face just got melted
