Hmm... Completely read over the fact that this one is mac only.
Though I like it that there's no waveform. It pushes you to focus on your own beatmatching skills again.
(Back to the roots again.)

and yes it does have keylock .
i had the demo version but i was looking around online and someone posted their serial information and boom it works. but as JesC said, theres no wave graphic so you gotta play by ear which really sucks. As i said before its a very simple basic program.

i will give it a try and review it after![]()
I love to play by ear, but it has to be on 1200's, every once in a while Ill will do a special set at a club with vinyl only, but I try to keep the sets under 2hrs. I might give the prog a shot.
I've messed around with Djay since it was a freeware app. It is fun to use the trackpad for a little wicki-wicki, and the automix function works well if you use an itunes playlist. It works nicely when you just want to hear a rough mix *right now* and play around a little bit, but the sampler and cue/loop tools are a royal pain to use. Mostly because all of those functions are on panels that can only be seen one at a time, that is you cant use the bpm tap/sync and cue points at the same time. Not the "everything at a glance" interface that Traktor has. One more thing... there's no midi learn function as of yet.
toys: Macbook Pro, Mac Mini, Trigger Finger, Radium 61, Zero8
Sorry if i offended anyone. I personally just got used to traktor and love the creativity that I am able to do on there.
