    Here is a reference to RazorLame. It is simply just a front end for LAME. I can recommend Lame. I recommend to use: lame v3.97 final with either 320 as bitrate OR VBR.

    Open up notepad and paste:

    [General]

    Description=VBR V2 VBRNEW

    Bitrate=128

    OutDir=

    UseInputDir=1

    [Options]

    Mode=1

    Optimization=0

    Crc=0

    Delete=0

    [Flags]

    Copy=0

    Copyright=0

    [System]

    LastOpenDir=

    [VBR]

    Enabled=0

    Quality=4

    MaxBitrate=320

    DisableTag=0

    StrictMin=0

    UseABR=0

    ABRTargetBitrate=128

    [Expert]

    ATHControl=0

    DifferentBlockTypes=0

    DisableFiltering=0

    NoRes=0

    NoShort=0

    ISO=0

    CustomOptions=-V2 --vbr-new

    OnlyCustomOptions=1

    qLevel=-1

    [Audio]

    Resampling=0

    HighpassEnabled=0

    HighpassFreq=0

    HighWidthEnabled=0

    HighpassWidth=0

    LowpassEnabled=0

    LowpassFreq=0

    LowWidthEnabled=0

    LowpassWidth=0

    then save the file as: VBR V2 VBRNEW.rlo (make sure you save the file as RLO and not .txt)

    Then open up Razorlame and chose that as a preset

    There is no single best solution for recording your Ableton Live sets, how you record will depend how you mix. Using the Render function is best suited if you have produced a set in Ableton and *everything* has been automated - kinda like how a song is produced.

    Tell us how you mix and we will tell you the easiest way you can record.

    @Nemo - Wow bro what is all that complex coding? Ill give it a shot tmrw when I get off of work and hopefully can get it for work. If not ill definately be giving you a shot =)

    @ BentoSan - Ideally I want to record my sets in session view cus thats how i wanna be mixing. I tried rendering a short clip and the volume on that .wav file was just so low, very unattractive! Am i doing something wrong?

    And once again thanks for all your understanding and patience for putting up with this, such a great forum d=(^_^)z...

    For some reason Lame isnt letting me encode my .wav to mp3's why?.. Its giving me this error msg "Command: C:\Documents and Settings\June Liu\Desktop\Lame\Lame.exe -V2 --vbr-new "C:\Documents and Settings\June Liu\Desktop\kk Project\Dj Rendered.wav" "C:\Documents and Settings\June Liu\Desktop\kk Project\Dj Rendered.mp3"
    Unsupported data format: 0x0003
    RazorLame encountered an unknown message from LAME while trying to encode "C:\Documents and Settings\June Liu\Desktop\kk Project\Dj Rendered.wav"!

    Encoded 0 files in 0:00:00
    There was an unexpected LAME message for one file, please check log for error messages.

    Any Ideas?
