Ok I will suggest something that I probably will get bashed for in this forum - get a second hand digital mixer / cheap usb midi controller and download a cracked version of traktor pro somewhere. If you like it, buy better gear and buy the software. If you don't - delete the software and resell/give your hardware to someone who is interested. I know it's against rules and laws, but I'm quite low on cash, as anybody who has a crappy office job/is still a student, so you can neither afford the 1.5$/track nor the 200$ just for the software. IMO it's unfair to make money on the backs of people who spend money - meaning it's unfair to get paid for djing with cracked software and downloaded music. But charging you for try-outs at home, with the possibility of dropping the whole thing after 4-6 hours - no thanks.
