as I don't scratch (wish I could properly) I don't really care, for me it's only an aesthetic point. But nice for all others if that suits you. Good move.

yeah, i assume most of the people against it are playing EDM, and thats fine. But when you're dropping hip hop and dancehall etc I think it helps more than it hinders

so you would like to have tracks you just loaded beatmatched without any work at all and have them shown side by side because you don't even know them to phrase or drop them?

IMO that is just being lazy

no, I know phrasing and all that. but say I dont feel like going through and beatgridding and dropping cues etc on all my tracks, once I have a bpm. drop it on the one, immediately know if im too fast or too slow, adjust accordingly.

i dunno, i just like that way better. I've been doing fine with TSP, but anything that makes it easier...

EDIT: and yes, I'm lazy, but it's 2011 if I cant have my jetpacks and flying cars, at least let me beatmatch visually

    I play only EDM.

IMO coloured wave forms are a MAJOR tool in assessing the dynamics of the track visually.

When you know that certain colours mean certain frequencies, and that the shade of that colour determines how dynamic it will be, you can tell whether a kick drum will come in STRONG or come in Meh. Or exactly how soft a breakdown is.

It's not always easy to know all your tracks inside and out, especially when you update fresh material on a daily basis. Visual feedback for me is EXTREMELY important. At least its an edge up people who don't find significance in it. If visuals were not important, we wouldn't have screens for our Traktor. A simple example of how visuals are AMAZING in split second decisions that I'm sure many many people use is the implementation of Cover Art. Sometimes you need the visual feedback to connect the dots in your head, and find the right track in time.

I am sure it will be a nice feature, but since I can't see I can't get to excited about it.
