Hopefully the new version of the S4 software coming out in Feb will address issues like inconsistent cueing, syncing, and the four band eq. If so just stick to mapping that in the NHL as opposed to midi. I just couldn't wait for the fixes, which is why i did the traktor pro midi mapping.

To be honest, If i hadn't had been an advanced user of the original pro software, S4 wouldnt have been a big issue for me the way it was. It was just the matter of losing features I had grown so accustomed to that was the problem.

I actually meant to write "possibly coming out". I hope it is anyway. Personally I'd think it was pretty poor if it didn't, but that's just my opinion. Not sure why NI is going all "apple" with communications about what updates are going to fix or even a "Yes we are working on one" would be great like they used to do in the stickies for Traktor Pro.

I'm still loving the Kontrol S4 though, its a great piece of hardware.

I wan't to ask:How can assing the tempo bend butons(traktor pro software)to the loop in and loop out in the s4 controller?

Hey mate, you can just map the function to the loop in and loop out buttons.

If i recall correctly I have mapped Loop4 using No shift, Loop on/off using main shift button (near transport controls).

You could probably just add it on top of whats there by using one of the other additional Shift Modifier buttons (on top of the right hand side pitch fader).

You can check the modifier value required by opening the mapping window and hitting the button to see what value comes up under M1.

Hey Mate.

I have my custom KONTROL S4 mapping for the latest version of traktor. Its done in native HID mode and works a lot better than that old MIDI one.

Note - the documentation might be slightly out of date, but you will be able to figure it out pretty easy. Offers access to all four decks at the same time.

Hey, thanks so much for the response! When you say "latest version of Traktor" though, I'm assuming you mean Traktor Pro 2 rather than the old Traktor Pro? Seems like these mappings are for a later version of Traktor, but if I'm mistaken, let me know. I was hoping to find the old 1.2.7 mapping since I don't have access to Pro 2 right now and my S4 is just collecting dust, haha. If you don't have the old mapping anymore, no worries.
