This is too funny... I have a friend who just bought a macbook because he was getting similar comments for using a Dell. HAHAHAHA... I told him to cut out a white apple logo, glue it over the Dell logo, and put a black light on the table. I'm going to break out my Apple Newton just to satisfy the fanboys.

Rock the house and I don't care if you're using a C64 with cassette drive. I think for my next gig I'm going to use a single SCS.3D in double deck mode just to invite comments.

I use DVS because I like it, it's fun for me, it's what I want to do. No other reason.

If the DJ is rocking it, I could care less what the tools are.

The clear solution is to get the most complex midi controller you can with as many flashing lights as possible. Try and make it look like a space ship. Dangle shit from the ceiling if you can.

Then every time you see a vinyl DJ bitch about how all he's doing is beat matching tracks and doesn't even make his own music.

I don't see what's wrong about getting a turntable for decoration purposes.

Yes, it's a turntable, and surely decorative. Don't know about the 50 bucks though.

I also find this one quite decorative, especially with a nice picture disc in it:
