The words "niggle," "niggling," "niggly," etc. actually did make it on this side of the pond, it's just that some people are too precious about it. A well known pundit wrote an article in the Economist a few years ago using the word "niggardly" -- part of the same root -- and people jumped on him for racism. It's silly, because it has nothing to do with the well known racial slur. Latency is easily adjusted by opening preferences>audio. Failure to set it as low as possible could result in niggling issues with tardy drops making the dance floor go tits up. I like boobs.
