    can u run it with another soundcard?

    These drivers are really designed to replace your standard internal wdm, realtek or whatever. Most external soundcards run some sort of asio system anyway mate.

    Thats what i thought to. Its worth a try tho.

    the truth is, I prefer to use it because my only other soundcard is inside the s4.... when i'm just playing with midi maps I can lay on my couch and mess around instead of sitting inside my studio.

    Same here! Exactly why I use it. So I can mess around when I am upstairs in the living room and want to just lay down some tracks for fun on my Maschine.

    So there is no conflict with the s4 onboard soundcard?
    And your s4 will perform better i.e. lower latency?

    I could read up on it but honestly 10 hrs straight of a lab report deserves laziness...
