    Loose the external! Thats where my life of music is. Where do I store my music on my laptop without using all the storage space?

    disabled your network adaptors? acpi controller etc?

    my LIFE of music is on the external hard drive. Where would I store my music on my laptop without using all of my memory? Guess you learn every day.

    its a process of elimination. that may not be your problem yet.

    its the battery controller. that is the main cause of dpc spikes. you can either disable it or just remove the battery. This, and the network adaptors are a big cause of some ofn these issues mate.

    ok. Im going to try the usb cord first, sheilded case next, turn off searching for a network all together.

    I looked up your computer smitten and if that sets the way.... I quit! No im going to see what happens from here. You guys are way ahead of me but im going to still go hard at it.
