could you please upload the latest mapping that you have?
could you please upload the latest mapping that you have?
Are u refering at the one I made or the mapping standard that comes with the Traktor Pro that I bought ?
You asked for help, but now that you've managed it, you don't say what you did to get it to work.
Your main goal was to let the LED blink in PAUSE, and constant on in play mode.
I don't get this to work, so I really wonder how you did it.
It shouldn't work that way, because the blinking works on the beat phase, and without playing the beat, there is no blinking possible. Right or wrong?![]()
My initial ideea was to make the Play/Pause button to blink when in Pause mode, and to stay lit up when in Play mode. I didn't work how I wanted no matter what i deed. When in Play mode it blinked and in Pause mode is remained off. So i dis something else, i modified the lighting of the Cue buttonWhen i load the track and it's in standby the Cue buton is lit up, and when i pres Play the play button lits up like normal but the Cue button blinks till the moment I Pause the track
I don't remmember exacty how I've done it, but i know I've inverted the led options for the Cue button and I've modified the controler range : Min to 0 and Max to 5000, u can be smaller then 5000 depending on how rapid u want the LED to blink
I think i can be found in the other discusions on this page how to modify the Led options
Thanks for your quick reply!
The option with the cue button is a quite nice alternative.
It's easy to get that done:
In the controller manager, click the ADD OUT button.
Navigate to OUTPUT>BEAT PHASE MONITOR.
Now, in DEVICE MAPPING, navigate to Ch01>Note>B0(zero) for the cue buton LED of Deck 1. B5 is for the Cue button LED of Deck 2.
In LED OPTIONS, Switch off INVERT and BLEND.
You can also play with the CONTROLER RANGE to get the blinking shorter or longer.
In the week to come, I will modify the hardware (LEDS) of my DJ-2 (interface ed.)
Change colors, and make some leds blink permanent by using blinking leds.
In my mind I want the EQ leds blinking when the button is pushed, even when there's no deck running.
So the only way (that I know of) is using blinking leds.
A possible workaround is to use a sample deck loaded with a nice beat in loop and use that only as a reference for the Beat Phase Monitor, but I have to test that first. The level of the sample decks can be completely muted, the normal decks not.
I'll let you know when I figured things out.![]()
Another thing. One suggested to me that modifying the way LED are lit has a downside on the sound. He might be rigt , this along with the aditional atributing new tasck to buttons, faders, knobs.
I might also be wrong, but I noticed that the original mapping of the controler runs smoother then the one i made. It is possible that Windows Vista might have been the prime problem, because I had other small problems. Now i've changed it with Windows 7 and so far everithing is good. I'll se in time if problems will appear
After U finish your mapping, if U see any problems appear pleas share it
PS: In the near future I will change some of the red LEDs with blue and white ones. I considered changing the Play/Pause LEDs with green ones, but now i'm not so shure, I will see
I've also read about disturbed sound in combination with flashing leds in the mapping.
I also have no problems with Windows 7 (64-bit), but that's a monster PC for Traktor use (i7 920 processor running at 4Ghz, 12GB fast memory, WD Raptor discs, external Raid-0 e-sata).
On my laptop (Sony Vaio) I have sometimes loss of sound for a view seconds in combination with the controller. Without the controller everything runs fine.
I still have to figure out what's the cause.
Now I have all the leds here (all kind of colors available incl. purple, orange/amber, and also every color as far as available in flashing and normal, diffuse and clear).
I have to test things which leds I'm gonna change for which one.
As I said, I'll ledyou know.
My laptop is an ASUS F5RL, now with Windows 7, Vista made me a head ake
About the problem with the sound, I think it's the same problem as I had. I changed a setting : look at preferences ... transport ...key lock ... and put key mode to normal instead of scratch
I friend told me and he sayd it saved he-s problem, for me not so much, till i changed Vista with Windows 7. The problemem with the sound appeared especialy when I opened a browser like google chrome, that I use
In the attachment you will find a modified poster of the Reloop DJ2 IE in the way that I'm thinkin to modify my controller
