    It just seems like such an obvious gap! NI doesn't have anything really lightweight and portable that you can use to play alone at the moment.

    so you want an s4 without jogs?

    i mean i dont use mine as theyre intended to... so ive been playing with a mapping that does make use of them (handles effects kinda like the fader efx mode on the vci)

    i feel like thats still useful. cause a x1mixer controller type thing wouldnt be much smaller than the s4 anyways (atleast teh way im picturing it)

    Yeah that's what I'd be after something that fits nicely in a backpack. Though to be honest I think I'm more likely to buy a 4 channel mixer even if it did exist since I'm finding myself drifting further and further away from midi trickery and digital magic and more towards pure DVS with no fluff.

    Thouuuuugh if it was priced right I might not be able to stop myself getting a new toy... Hey, maybe I could try and work out how this sync button is supposed to work.
