if you don't need knobs and pads, Q25 is the best, aftertouch and real midi port.

    I have the mpk mini,
and Im surprised to see so many people say they LOVE it?

do you guys not have problems w/ the pads turning themselves on on their own? it's a problem known w/ all akai's lower range midi controllers, even the mpk24.

I've been looking into the M-Audio Axiom as a replacement as I don't feel too confident laying live w. something that could drop a cue point(i use the pads for cues 1-8) during a mix.

can anyone tell me how the pads are and if there are any known issue's with them, i.e. turning themselves on.

interesting, maybe you got a lucky model, lol. got my first taste of it the 1st week i was playing with it, then a friend of mine told me how his mpd24 was acting the same way, he'll be mashing away and say pad 7 or 8 will activate on its own, for me it's sometimes a quick hit,but also a long hold.

quite annoying, though I picked it up for $75 so I guess I wasn't too shocked, but now you say you've never encountered the problem, that just pisses me off haha.
