Not to shit on peoples days or insult anyones financial state, but in all honesty, alot of us aren't going to buy it right away, one either being for price or people want to make sure its a solid product. Unless you guys run clubs and you NEED to have the latest and greatest toy, not sure if its worth taking a car loan to buy. Meh - 2c inputted.

one thing im happy about is since the 900's release, the 800 has dropped down to a reasonable price... and i now feel justified in getting one since they knocked like 600 bucks off the price... But definately agreed that the updates from the 8-900 are only marginal, and is definately not worth the price difference...

The 900 does have a high quality USB audio interface which is Traktor Certified. That's worth mentioning, since everyone is saying how marginal the updates are from the 800. It has much improved faders and a tweeked effect section. I'd say it's comparable to the TP1 > TP2 upgrade, but sadly it doesn't only cost 69€ to upgrade.

Bear in mind that with the 900, pioneer couldn't break the mould and go crazy with arcade buttons and XY pads everywhere. They have to stick to a format that everyone's familiar with for their flagship mixer.

Not fanboying, and not saying the price is reasonable, just giving pio credit where it's due.

when you say it has improved faders... how so? i was playing around with both of them in store recently and the faders felt identical... unless they are hi res midi faders on the 900 which i am unsure of, but the "feel" of the faders and crossfader was identical on both units. yeah the soundcard and added effects are a bonus, but still, i wouldnt pay the extra for it...

The faders are analogue so I don't think there is such thing as a high res one. They have some sort of special dual slider bar technology which makes them really durable, the fader itself is offset to the side rather than directly under the slider so theoretically it's impervious to a certain amount of beer spillage and the caps are locked so you can't accidentally pull them off. Little things, but they all help durability.
