Is it the same as this? http://www.djtechtools.com/2008/04/0...-with-ableton/
That was the tutorial that I wasn't sure about if it still worked properly since it was Ableton 7 and Traktor 3 or something. If this still works the same I'll follow the tutorial. Are you running Windows 7? Is there a new and improved option for the Midi-OX and Midi-Yoke?

    ah i see...

hmmm... shame that Jack software isn't as user friendly for PC as the version for Mac... it looked so simple in that dubspot tut.

I mixed into ableton from traktor the other night at the cafe. Manually. In seconds.

so i recently tried routing traktor into ableton using the method that was featured on the djtt smartmixing tutorial.....

i'd have to strongly urge anyone to do so with caution (or better yet, just don't use it) as the midi-ox/midi-yoke software really did a number on my computer. after doing a bit of reading online it appears that many people have run into similar issues with that software. now that i've removed the software, i'm hoping things are back to normal.

just thought this was worth mentioning as many pc users are probably looking for alternatives to the recently posted dubspot tutorial for traktor/ableton routing on mac.

some soundcards allow you to use loopback channels to bridge from TP/TP2 to ableton and vice versa, check focusrite stuff
    - Focusrite Saffire Pro24 - Novation Remote 25sl mk2 -
    - Korg MS-10 - Korg KAOSS Pad KP3 - Vestax VCI-300 -
    - Alesis m1active mk2 - Shure SRH-750-DJ - Akai LPD8 -
