I think it's a MIDI map, so you should be able to use the standard HID mode map for standard X1 stuff then the MIDI map for Sample Decks, switch between MIDI/HID mode with Shift+Hotcue buttons.

Damn. Oh well, we can add it to the 'wtf glaring oversight' issues of T2

My list so far is quite short after I figured out what I was doing... Only thing I don't really like now is the still (!) fixed size preferences dialog box.

NI, The 90's called, they want their UI designers back! They need to have a very hard look at how they value vertical resolution.

Also, I want the advanced drop down box on the SMALL decks. If I could toggle SMALL/ADVANCED only that'd be pretty sweet. I've only got a 1280x800 screen so I need all the vertical resolution I can get!!!

What a joke. I don't understand why they would do that with T2 knowing full well people would want full control. I hope there is a simple shift button switch mapping soon. I'm done mapping myself. No time anymore.

Where the heck is the mapping on the native instruments website showing it in use with Tpro2?

Because not everyone use the X1 with the native deck mapping: In the same folder you can find the mapping, there is also an explanatory pdf.

So there is no single one mapping for T2 to work both the sample decks as well as fx and transport at the same time? Are you expected to switch mappings during your set to use the sample mode?

None i'm aware of (didn't search really). You could always remap the native one to include sample control, using a modifier to detect if X deck is in deck or sample mode. I might build that one if i get enough time in the following weeks.

Sounds good man, I'll be working on one as well to mimic the PDF hopefully too. We'll see what we come up with.

I agree, but can almost def tell you why it doesnt bother them. goto germany sometime and tell me they aren't 20 years ahead of their time in technology but style wise still very much in the 90's in most anything they do, which is good in some cases.

Not for people like us who eat MIDI for breakfast, lunch, and dinner though. If I had my say the midi editor would open in a new window thats resizable and always on top and you'd be able to use the up and down arrows and other keyboard shortcuts with the option to import and export in xml as the standard format, then we could copy paste and trade pieces of mapping functionality.

i feel this will be the last thing they fix as a majority of the users dont know how to make a mapping, let alone spell midi. and im speaking in regards to the general public at large, the ppl on this forum tend to share a fancy for controllerism more than most.

until then theres the option of trying to decode the tsi, i always pay for traktor but i did notice while searching google for info regarding midi mapping sample decks and midi output for sample decks that its already been cracked. if these ppl can crack the program surely the tsi's are within our capability.
    still dreaming.

I also preferred the yellow text for deck headings, the contrast was better, they made the new waveforms so colorful nothing else stands out, the text's reduced contrast kinda slows me down for some reason.

and the new option to not save the beatgrid as a hotcue has caused problems when i get rid of the hotcue and simply replace it with a load marker, things were going out of sync randomly. not consistantly though, just sometimes in some tracks. *shrug
