Ok, so I successfully have a time machine backup. The problem is off-and-on. Like, sometime's I'll boot it, and the mouse/keyboard won't function for around 2 hours, then it's fine for awhile, then it freezes. The night before this all happened, I was watching a flash video and this horrible popping noise stabbed through my TMA-1's, straight to my ear drums. The screen became glitched-the-fuck-out, and the only option was to hard-boot it. It seemed to work fine after that until the next morning.

I'm going to take it to the "genius bar" (do they serve booze?)

And I'll take this opportunity to learn to spin on vinyl, since a friend of a friend who was trying to sell us turntables is now in jail

Dont suppose you tried a reset ?

Power off > then hold power button until the power LED flashes repeatedly (maybe obvious but you didn't mention it).

Could be a RAM issue .. worth pulling a stick out to check.

I didn't even know one could do that. I reset it, and it's been fine so far. Dunno why that is though.

    THANKS
