I had a JBL subwooffer mounted into the rear seat on my previous Mini.
The centre of the seat was cut out and the sub was fix in from behind in the boot. The box cover of the sub made it impossible to have anything but the spare wheel in the boot.

Sounded awesome and damn loud in such a small car... It was done well but it did look a bit naff
