Yeah I'm curious to know also. If it can run TP2 no problem I think ill do the same, you can always hook up a USB port and external drive if needed.

I would like to have a lappy just for TP2 and the MBair would be cool to use.

    Don't say i didn't warn you

for sure they're cool, but I'd take a MBP over an air any day. I like flexibility.

Im on the fence about it now, MBP has thunderbolt and is more powerful but the MBair is smaller and is better value in my eyes with the SSD. If anyone has any deal breaks/makers let me know?

for one thing, the processors in the MBP are faster and better. They also have backlit keyboards which are brilliant.

Price wise I'm working in pounds, and I'm using the closest comparable specs.

    MBA 2.13 GHz C2duo, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD = £1540
    - no ethernet port, firewire, thunderbolt, DVD drive (or capacity for an optibay) etc.

    MBP 2.3 GHz i5, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD = £1519.

    That's why I wouldn't get a Macbook Air over a Macbook Pro.

hmmm, i see what your saying but i'm looking at spending £1200 at the most, and with that i was thinking the 13" MBA with 4GB RAM was around that, thats with a 128GB SSD, but now i've looked i could get a 13" MBP with 4GB RAM with a 128GB SSD do you think that would be better for the money?

definitely. more upgradeable, more durable, better processor, better for DJing.

cool, i'm going to have a deeper look into it, but from the facts you've given me i see myself edging towards the MBP now... since you seem to be from GB and have a midifighter how long did it take for yours to arrive?
