any useful threads could be tagged with 'wiki' so that it'd be easy to find then copy/pasta the useful threads into the wiki...

come on site admins - you knows it makes sense!

Or people could just start tagging their own threads with relevant tags

    people do that already though

I dunno about you, but I find a wiki easier to keep updated/search than posts on a forum. Tagging posts on the forum with 'wiki' would be a good way for people to nominate certain threads to be 'uploaded' to the wiki.

ahh the 6 week cycle of everyone getting sick of silly beginner questions

i've always thought about having a wiki as a good idea.

i've also thought the best idea would to make anyone asking a question look through the faq, and then make search compulsory before starting a new topic (if it was possible to setup via the backend's forum preferences)

i think leave it as it is, what if a noob has encountered a problem no-one has listed on the sight then he'll never get it fixed cause he'll most likely give up and loose interest.

Just answer hey noob check out sidetrakds signature
seriously though a wiki would be good!Maybe a beginners e-book.No matter what you do. people can be lazy and want instant answers.I read almost every blog post I could find and half the forum before I ever posted at all.
