I've come to the conclusion it seems like a pretty decent buy as looking on dabs.com to buy anything close in spec i would be looking at £650 as shown here ... http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx...0000&InMerch=1

same proc same memory and same hard drive size

I was IT support for a company running aprox 8 dell laptops. I had to call dell maybe twice also but that was in 5 years. Service was pretty good. The only problem i find is the language barrier when speaking to india but it only seems to be the receptionists in india, you eventually get through to uk when you need support.

I think dell just get bad mouthed and everyone poss jumps on the bandwaggon .... anyone got any real stories?

I've had my Dell Latitude (still do) for 6 years now. I will be retiring it from DJing after I get my new one in a week. In other words, it is still a beast for the club. Dell has been real good to me. Lets hope they keep it up.
