It's nowhere near as bad as it was when the S4 was coming out lol. The place was like a warzone with crater-like circular discussions happening over and over again lol. I don't think we'll be starting a Twitch specific subforum just yet. But I am super stoked about mine arriving

It's £399 or $499, the price has always been the same.

Even if you get a good deal on an audio 6 you'll still need to buy a Traktor Scratch licence. Unfortunately you can't just plug it into Traktor Pro and have Scratch functionality without the licence.

Well.. if you're looking for the satisfaction of TTs..
then the only way to get your fix is to get a pair.
I highly doubt you will ever regret doing so.

I vote for the TTs. The twitch seems alright.. but like you said its just another hyped controller.. and the next new fad is close to come..
but TTs will always be TTs.

snatch the deal and if you end up not being satisfied sell them back for around the same price you got it. (it'll probably be around that price for the next few year) where as controllers loose A LOT of value as soon as something new comes out.

Yeah I'm also guilty of starting one, and it seems to be quite popular...

I have vestax pdx 2000s. Tt's and they are more stable then the ttx numark...id be willing to part from them for the right price, nobody seemed to jump on the deal I had on here earlier this week so I kept them...you can get technics 1200 on ebay for $250-350 used plus shipping. Techs are worth the extra money

I let a pair of custom white Technics with new pitch faders, RCAs, LEDs, slipmats, 2 carts/headshells and 6 styli go for $700 on ebay.
    also new odyssey cases!

You could probably find a working used one w/o a case, slipmat and needles for $200. Or if you waited and searched you might be able to find one for $70 like I did :P

Honestly, that turntable deal is pretty damned decent if it's still available.

It's pretty close to the setup I'm going after, and if I could have gotten an empath I would have. (Also have the Elektro's, great carts imo). That third channel isn't needed, but it is nice compared to just a 2 channel mixer.

Really though, you consider 600ish for an Empath (used), flightcases being what they are (200-300), Elektro's (200 for a pair basically, got mine for 150 used), and then the tables on top of that? You'd be making out.

You thought about an S4? doesn't that currently come with free scratch upgrade?

That covers having a mixer with dvs and a controller...

Obviously not a very portable DVS solution mind.

For me TTs for at home but controller for playing out. To me the pro sound of djing comes from your flow and not from what medium you use to control mp3s.

When I play out, there's no doubt that i'm working the crowd and the vibe. No one even cares what i'm using, not other djs and certainly not the punters.

Proness comes from how you rock it.

If you're going to look into getting an S4 I HIGHLY recommend you go into a local shop and test one out for yourself.
    Don't rely on the hype..

That's a pretty good deal. Holler at the Google for each of those components see for yourself.

The Rane Empath mixer is fantastic and will hold it's resale value pretty well.

All of the little things like slipmats, carts, needles, and cables add up to a lot. Flight cases are surprisingly expensive.

If you have the money and are serious about DVS you really should go for it.

Edit: on second thought, offer the dude 8 just to see what he says.
