Thread: Mixed in key??

For most techno and tech house I doubt mixed-in-key is of much use. The music is very much abstract so nearly anything works with anything. Maybe some Detroit melodic techno or tech house bordering on deep house would be exceptions.

Electro house has more melodies and song structure so that's where key clashes could be heard.

Mixed-in-Key is nice but for most it is best to just learn to hear directly what sounds good and what not. One less dependency to worry about with unknown setups and music collections.

Get Beatunes. It has a key algorithm and has many other functions as well.

Don't use platinum notes, do a side by side comparison between an analyzed track and an unanalyzed track and you will be disappointed. In my experience it sucks the life out of your tracks.

i don't really mix in key. Unless i really hear it clash in my headphones, then I change the track to another.

i bought mixed in key not too long ago. i think its overpriced for what it is. doesnt even get half of the tracks' keys correctly. I still find myself attempting to manually find keys to tracks using my Keyboard. =\

Actually it's very useful for those genres.
