No idea on EQ mode. No looper on it- time is probably just an FX parameter i.e. delay time.

Quality should be the same as the DB4 and the EQ can serve as a filter. Well, that's the only thing that ignores me, no dual filters!

But I think that the filters on the bottom of the FX sections should serve well, because A&H has the best filters .

For more than half of the price it is a very good price/quality-comparison!!!

Definitely should be mine, because the DB4 is a little bit overpriced for a student without a job... haha!
Well for that price I think it is on target. That's 1350 USD which means it can be had for under 1200. I can forgive some of its shortcomings for the price. i was expecting 1700ish in the teaser but it looked better in the teaser..

Yes and I think that 2 FX sections are good enough for me! Plus I only use MIDI and sometimes SL-1200's in combination with Traktor, and I'm going to use a X1 next to it.. So even more FX . Maybe in the future a K2, it certainly looks nice!

Oh man this is tough.... I thought it was going to be around 1800 US also, in which case I was thinking that it's just worth it to go with the DB4, but if this thing clocks in at 999 GBP and can be had on the street for 1200-1300, it's a lot more attractive. Damn though, the looper is one of the things that has me sold on the DB4, but is it worth $1500 just for that feature? hehe

One question for DB4 users: can you combine effects on one channel, or are the effects banks exclusive to the channel? On this unit it looks like there are no combos -- if the switch is set to X you're using the X effect, and if it's set to Y you're using the Y effect and that's it....

Hehehe one more edit ... 999 GBP is actually 1560 USD ... still cheaper than I thought this would be but it's not quite the deal it looked like.

    Stupid falling American dollar....

Looks very cool but unfortunately being A&H its going to be expensive and therefore too much for me.

I don't know about that, but I know I won't be buying a db2 because it doesn't have the dual Xone filter units like the 92, 62, 3D, 4D, and now db4. At least the 42 got one of them, none on the db2 makes me sad. That's a big thing that makes a xone mixer a xone mixer.

1000 euros or like 1200 USD, not bad at all.

Unfortunately it's not 1000 euros but 999 pounds -- or 1162 Euros or 1560 USD... still not bad but not as good a deal as it seemed at first.
