    Not trying to derail but again not posting on it's own but... This raises the question, whats the most common cause of death for DJ's? DJ's arent like rock stars? I mean, a lot of rock musicians die from overdose and other rockstarish deaths... Joplin, Hendrix, Morrison... Yes, DJ AM, but there are quite a few of us around with considerable time around and still alive and kicking.

    Considering how heavy most DJ equipment is (maybe apart from controllers), I'd say death by crushing ought to be the most common.

    "Crushed to death under his Techncis turntable"
    "DJ flattened by bass speaker"
    "Flight case full of Vinyl kills local performer"

    I can see it happening...

    Yeah, fortunately (for me) the announcement of my passing was fabricated although, Im DJing tonite and im going for pre-gig drinks so i may die tonite in a performance related way.

    Great shame about Jimmy Saville though. See my obituary in the Jimmy Saville thread.
