You aren't going to find a very high quality pair of headphones for under $60 in my opinion. I know the Shure SRH750's are pretty solid and cheap but I think even those are between $129-$149
I'll advocate the MDR-V6 as well. For an industry standard headphone that many many of the other more expensive headphones in the $150+ price range just can't beat.

Compared to other "DJ" headphones nothing comes close in value/price

You can probably find yourself a set of HDJ-500 on sale this weekend for that. Hell go to guitar center use the 10% off go buy it. Its normally $90 but you can get it for 80. THats not too bad and the headphones themselves aren't that bad.

Before them I used sennheiser hd215, but people say hd205 are better but I have never tried them. go for some of these two sennheisers, they are decent for that money

I'd also advise searching, googleing and searching some more. Skratchworx has an article on headphones if I recall correctly... but anyway. Since I'm here I'm gonna give my opinion, coming from someone's who's been dj'ing for almost a year.

I'd suggest Sennheisers HD 202, 203 or 205. Great sound for the cost. Granted, they're not as durable or as nice as HD 25-II's or anything on that level... but for a noob needing a pair of monitor headphones, they work fine. I've had the HD 202's and they sound great, they're also semi durable... they can last much longer if you treat them well. The HD 203's are pretty much the same except for being silver colored and a tad better than the HD 202's sound wise (can't remember the specs). Only gripe with these two models is the cord coming out from both cups.

I currently use HD 205's now and they're awesome for the money. The right cup swivels to the rear or front depending on what you need. They sound quite good and are loud enough. The isolation is quite good, more than decent for bedroom use. They are also very tight on your head so you can jump around and they'll stay on unless you move too much. The cord comes out from the left cup only which is also much much better than having it coming out from both cups. The real cons of the 205 is build quality, they don't seem too sturdy and it feels like they will break if too much force is exerted sideways. The swivel cup might eventually break from stress too... But all in all, for bedroom use and the occasional house party, these headphones will hold up pretty well if you treat them properly and not as if they were high end headphones.

Agreed. These are the best $60-range headphones I know of....at least they have 40mm drivers.

I have a pair of the A&H xone xd 40's. They go for around 70 bucks. I got them for free with my controller purchase. They seem like a pretty good pair of headphones except theyre just a little small. I'm thinking about replacing them with maybe the xd 53's or something a little more expensive than the ones I have.
