If you (1.2.7) are going to be the master you also have to check the "Internal Clock" option on your clock panel.
Hope you have a great gig!
thanks dudes! i'm thinking that will most likely work. i'm on an m-audio pro soundcard, with midi i/o.

and yes, i've been dj'ing long enough to have a more than comprehensive and pro demonstration of beat matching. respectively it's waaaaaaaay different on vinyl. (i cannot stand having a pitch detent for example.)

but alas, we'll probably be playing tracks back to back at some point in the night, so thanks for all the tips dudes.

Just curious. Do you mean you can't stand the center click of older 1200s? Or do you mean your Traktor increases/decreases pitch in too large increments.

If the latter, it's what ever you're using for the pitch slider that's causing the problem, btw, Traktor can pitch shift (manually) at around 0.008% increments, which is really, next to step-less. Just for your info!

yeah, the center detent on 1200's are the worst. as far as traktor goes, it is definitely more fine tunable pitch wise than any turntable in my opinion.
