Check laptops from Dell and Asus. There are so many of them that have better specs at under $500 than the ones you posted. Go for Intel i3/i5 processors and at least 4gb RAM and up.

Could someone just give me some system requirements I should be looking for?
Convertibles are cool and all, but with your budget you'll do a lot better with a regular laptop. Keep in mind there's more things to go wrong with a convertible, and if you're a n00b, this can turn into more headaches for you!
"Intel i3/i5 processors and at least 4gb RAM and up" sounds pretty good as a basis. Dual-core processor is a must, at least 2ghz. Music fills a hard-drive fast, so at least 200 gigs there. This is the most important part of your dj rig, don't skimp on power and performance for the sake of a cool touch screen, unless it's really that important.

Intoxicated /adj./ When you feel sophisticated without being able to pronounce it.
