Well you got your opinion but it's $450 australian and a vestax spin is only $50 cheaper

    Then you need some speakers..

Controller looks fine to me for a beginner who "Wants to get into mixing for fun"

My advice Razor is to go try it out

If it's not for you the same store sell the Numark Mixtrack Pro for $400, and it comes with traktor le - get that and plug into your home hi-fi

Oh and who cares if people laugh at your setup?

Get a controller to start, but DEFINATELY do your research. There's lots of controllers, lots of cd players, and lots of turntables, and they ALL do what you want. Its a matter of where do you want to go with mixing, how serious you are, and how much $$ you are willing to spend. The days of "turntable/cdj" in a bar days are numbered, as more people are realizing its the music that matters, not the medium. Read up here, lots of info for your eyes. And wallet lol

    Aahh...
On the Amazon.com website Vestax Typhoon costs about 250$, Mixtrack Pro 150$ instead of 450$ the bundle posted would cost.
I know, my Amazon-prices only include the Controller. You will additionally need headphones (but for the first tries also IPod Headphones or simple 20$-Headphones will be enough) and speakers (which most people have already for their computers or hi-fi.
I think for some house-parties Logitech Speaker System Z523 Speakers for almost 90$ should be enough. And when it comes to dedicated monitors you could want to get the Alesis M1 Active Mk2 Bi-Amplified Reference Monitors for about 270$

And why doing things so complicated? Because you might want
1.) to pay only for what you need
2.) to get quality for your money

keep in mind that price is australian and we get owned on anything electronic in Aus price wise.

Im not looking at getting into djing for clubs, just as a hobby and see where that takes me.

OP, this is why you have to research your options, posting up the generic "I wanna mix, what should I get" thread always leads to 50 of us telling you what we would get, but you have to figure out what you want to do first. We have all played on all kinds of gear. If you want to DJ, hit up a local music store that carries gear, and play with it. See what you like.

Roughly speaking, you can take nearly every piece of gear for the beginning. Many controllers and mixers are similar in their features. The problem with cheap no-name gear is often that the built-quality is quite low (so that you might have to buy a new product after a few months) or that poorly conceived drivers will keep you from having fun.
That's why more experienced people in this area will try to recommend you other, more expensive gear that promises to be a lot of fun for a long while.
In Germany they say: If you buy at a cheap rate you will buy twice!

You probably will have noticed, that the main product you buy with your proposed bundle are the speakers which solely already cost about 400$. So the headphones and that DJ-controller will probably have been produced quite cheaply. But if your intention is mainly to buy some nice monitors and get some DJing gear more or less for free with the bundle, then I would suggest:
Try it out for yourself and buy it!

P.S: Make sure that the DJing-Controller you finally buy contains a built-in-soundcard if you don't want to spend additionally 100$ or more for a soundcard!

If you have an iPad you can get the djay app for 20$ and the controller for cheap. Good software. I started with the S4 as well although
