Cash or nothing. I've done paypal for a couple transactions through DJF and here, but that's it. I don't even like ebay, because of the horror stories I've heard from friends.

If its a check you MUST MAKE SURE IT CLEARS FIRST. If you do not, and it is fake, the bank will remove it from your account and you will be out of the money and the product. Not fun!
