Yes this is possible. You can tell if the plus and minus cables are misconnected by looking at the calibration circle. If they almost touch at the top right or lower right then they are the wrong way. This can lead to reverse play.
Timecode circles must only touch at the Top Left.
That's the issue. The easiest thing to do is recalibrate but people never seem to do this in favour of reconnecting the soundcard. Baffles me.
It is standard advice from NI and from Mods on the forum that when changing medium you HAVE to recalibrate. This was in the manual, dunno if it still is.
