Ipad vs. Android. Music Production/DJ apps. Which is better?

For a tablet in general id recommend android, but for music/DJ apps it doesn't have nearly as many good apps as apple devices. I'd pick the Ipad for touchable alone.

edit: as far as the hardware goes, there are a number of android tablets with just as good a touchscreen as the Ipad if not better.

My new ipad comes on Friday...it's hanging out in a Kentucky UPS facility right now. I think I'm going to clean of my old ipad and install touch osc on it and add it to my collection of music devices. I'm kind of excited to see the retina display on the new one.

I have no experience with other tablets, but from what I've read on all my nerd computer websites, nothing touches the ipad yet. There are others that might be better at certain things, but overall, ipad still reigns supreme.

iOS will remain out in front until a competitor decides to write a decent low-latency audio and midi api - it's not about processing power.
