    2) You need either Traktor Scratch Duo, Traktor Scratch 2 Duo, Traktor Scratch Pro, or Traktor Scratch Pro 2 for software. You can find people selling the software, 2nd hand, by itself. It usually comes bundled though. So a new Traktor Scratch 2 Duo software will come w/ a Traktor Audio 6 and a new Traktor Scratch Pro 2 will come w/ a Traktor Audio 10. Let's say you want to get a Traktor certified mixer, and you want a Traktor Scratch license, and you don't need or want the bundled Audio interface it comes with, then you can buy a special discounted License only package (still comes w/ vinyl and cd's though) that you are only able to buy if you own a Traktor Scratch Certified mixer.
Good response but you totally missed Serato?

Erm, OP said he had Traktor, therefore outlining how Serato works would've been a bit pointless.

No worries (fwiw I use both Traktor and Serato, so I'm not the awkward bugger with 'the other' DVS at gigs, so no bias against Serato here!)

Actually, if you currently only have Traktor LE, it might be worth it to check out an SSL box (an SL2 or 1). They can be found for around the cost of a TSD kit, and a used one could be a bit cheaper. It's worth investigating if a serato setup is right for you, if you're getting into timecodes/HID.

manchild basically gave all the info but to simplify it u need to buy either an audio6 or audio10 (that now only come with a copy of traktor scratch pro) or a S2 (with scratch upgrade)

unless u want to go and look for a mixer by some other company that NI certifies to use with traktor scratch pro, but sticking with the NI hardware is probably easiest.

edit: this is ofc i want to stick with traktor - there's other options like serato as already mentioned and also using vdj with timecode.
