I am kind of bombing this thread, but I have a question. I have the same setup, (KRK 5's, Audio 2 DJ) but I have already purchased two TRS cables and a splitter.

Is it worth it for me to purchase RCA cables so keep the unbalanced sound? Is the sound quality really that different? I didnt even know the difference between unbalanced and balanced until 1 hour ago.

    Any insight?

    Thanks!

If you want to know more about different types of cables read my guide (linked in my sig below). You won't be able to make it work with 2 TRS cables, the A2 doesn't output balanced audio.

Could you use the TRS cables anyway and just have unbalanced audio through them?

No, because each TRS output is stereo rather than balanced mono. Just use the supplied RCA splitter and RCA leads.
