I don't believe this is true.

The .tsi contains locations of files, and the file system on a PC is different than on a mac.

You can do a mass find/replace (that's what I did with T3.3 collection file). Remember the tsi doesn't just hold your midi settings, it also holds your preferences (and collection?).

Your collection information is saved in there now, isn't it? Playlist info, etc.

You can opt to do that. You can just save your TSI and Keyboard mappings if you want.

If you're moving from a PC to a Mac, wouldn't you want to save EVERYTHING?

I'd think you would. But when transferring from a PC to a Mac you might, as you mention earlier, run into the issues of file locations (even though the Relocate function should fix that).

Also, you can selectively import also, so even if the TSI contains everything, you could always just re-import the MIDI and Hotkey assignments.

Well thanks for a the input. The TSI worked fine as people said, i had the chance to import what i needed from the TSI.

On the Mac front i absolutely love it. The response in Traktor from the platters on the vci is unbelievable and i feel confident already that it wont crash. The build quality on this thing is unbelievable and at present i am really pleased i spent the extra money and bought the aluminium version.

    Cheers everyone
