I always mix with the clock on 'auto.'

I also have it set to beatsync. I'll try to switch to temposync later today to see if it remedies the issue.

Seems like with TP2 2.5 update, you can't disengage the "master" from the metronome? How can you set it so that when you're doing two deck mixing, whatever track you mix in, automatically becomes the "master" one you turn the opposite deck off?

Seem like I have to physically grab the mouse and click on "master" in the appropriate transport section, otherwise the deck will just sync with the clock. This is annoying if you're mixing different genres because you either have to click on "master" everytime you finish a mix, or you have to set the clock to whatever BPM of the current track you're playing...

I got it to behave the way I want in "auto" mode where the "master" alternates according to what's playing on a 2-deck setup.

Or you can learn how to beat match manually and then you won't need to sync
Also check if you have beat sync or tempo sync as that might cause the problem for snap back
