I Watched this a few times before deciding to shoot my mouth off.

    1. Its not that hard to set up a camera and hit record.
    2. Its not that hard to edit out the beginning and ending of a video so we don't see you getting in behind the decks
    3. The lighting is unspectacular
    4. Hitting the record button and doing multiple takes in traktor/vdj etc is not a big deal ?
    5. A big clock takes care of the exactly 2 minutes lark.
    6. You can sync the video and audio easily using a clap to sync the frames in iMovie/microsoft movie maker or software of your choice afterwards.
    7. You have contained successfully an iPad running touch OSC or Lemur and 2 midi controllers in a white box.... congratulations, I don't see anything amazing about it ?, when you are running the entire rig solely on the iPad I'll start being impressed.

You haven't seen me DJ yet, you've seen me being producer, cameraman, soundman, lighting, director and star all at once.
Make a video of you "actually" DJ'ing then for 10 or 20 mins doing something spectacular and I'll re-judge but I would not be using your "skills" as lighting/camera/director/soundman to offset a shoddy performance - just set up a camera hit record and play and show us your mad skillz.

Maybe its just me but I just feel you have a chip on your shoulder for whatever reason about others ( both hardware manufacturers and DJ's) who are the music business, and have been for many years.

You have overconfidence without substance ...

    IMHO of course.

    Props on your controller man
    thank you.
I've been in every round of the Online DMC so far. the only person who got more views than me was unkut, but in total my vids last year got more views than anyone else, so I'm in some position to give my opinion of the current state of the contest.
while I'm doing that, I will remind us all that if there wasn't a problem of the productions becoming too similar (and some other problems) then the DMC wouldn't have began the Online Contest in the first place.

    ok

yea, because since this idiot don't know me, I'm a troll.

    kids are d a f these days

without substance, why because you don't know who I am. haha

yep, everything looks easy when someone else is doing it. so really? that's your theory, what I'VE bulit is simple, what I'VE performed is simple,
    and you think I'm delusional..hahahahahahaha

Just wanted to pop in and say thank you to everyone for listening and watching.
I've been thinking about the stuff that has been said here.
I'm going to hold on to my belief that I have created DJ history. The main reason I feel strongly about this is that we are here on a site, where a guy got known for changing out some buttons on a controller. What Ean did is definitely DJ history, and I think my creation of a platform agnostic controller, which speaks to the current need of integrating a tablet is equally historic.
I'd also like to address the claims of "boasting"
I would that you all keep in mind, that from my point of view, having been the person creating sketches of controllers, clearly defining them during phone calls or forum posts, and continually being told I was "wrong" or "silly"(not unlike several of you have done here) and then seeing MY ideas come to life in physical form, I'm not bragging, I'm standing up for my rights. I'm also standing up for the rights of anyone who enters an arrangement in good faith only to be exploited--see "beta-testing"-- because if you actually do any work during the testing, you're more likely to get a "you're welcome" than a "thank-you"
I love all this stuff passionately, and I put every ounce of that passion into created new ways of performing and now, new tools with which to perform. If anyone thinks the speaking the truth about what I've done and seen, and the role I've played with creating financially successful products is boasting, so be it. Imagine if your boss told you, "so what you worked 20 hours of overtime this week, STOP Bragging about it, cause I ain't paying you" This is my story, it's MY story, and I'm going to tell it.
Finally I'll address, the "see me perform as a DJ via a video" issue. I have zero interest in making video content with music that I do not own, but I put together a mix of "electro-swing" for ya
If the mixing style is overly simple or by any accounts bad, well the truth is I don't want it to be good enough for someone else to play as their, so I do those things on purpose. But I also hold very distinct views, from experience about how many people actually just want us to "let the song play" and so I always work a bit of that into my style.
