Also, maybe unorthodox but I use my iPhone to drop a bunch of one shots or samples live over tracks and there's a cool (also very basic) app with the old school sounds called Rave Box - and around 25 seconds in you can hear that piano sound, add some filters and you can mess around with that

Yeah def incorporate iMaschine it's fun and with some apps with built in metronomes you can get them nicely timed with a live playing track!
