ISSUES w/DJTT Traktor Mappings in 2.5?

I don't agree. As I never had FX store used..

Made a simple mapping on the keyboard, like, set effect, set parameter, turn unit on. As long the same effect is loaded, the button works as it should. If another effect is loaded, the "ON" light flashes shortly and the effect/parameter are set.

Same mapping in 2.1.3 works fine.

NI support meant, it is because it is overwriting the command of "UNIT ON", when the effect/parameter are set.

I've sent back an answer, that it was working in 2.1.3 but not with 2.5 anymore..

You never have it used because you didn't need to. This is a new command that comes with 2.5 since single and group mode are now separated in two different pages. This can be overcome with creative mapping.

Beside that, what does this FX store do? And how can I change a mapping for the MF? Is it just adding the new command to different buttons or a lot more work?

Store preset is going to provide your effect to auto engage when ether on hold or toggle, when you want to change and engage effect at same time.

Add in command FX Store Preset to all twelve Instant effect buttons and you are good to go. Ofc, you need to set it to corresponding FX unit for effect slot you are mapping to it.

just in case anyone else was wondering, mappings created in traktor 2.5 will NOT WORK in older versions of Traktor. The reason behind this is that a lot of the mapping commands changed names and modifier conditions changed and these are not backwards compatible in older versions.

it might be obvious to some people but i had a really difficult time trying to troubeshoot a couple people's problems until eventually finding out they were using 2.1 still and upgrading to 2.5 fixed the issues for all of those people.

There was some of commands replaced to different control groups also but biggest changes were for FX units. Since group and single mode are now joined in to one page we must define with modifier state to which mode will knobs and buttons be responding. This is cool when doing some simple mapping. However when involving more modifiers, it come to limitations with condition slots. There are only two...

In previous version of traktor there was more room for tricky mappings in FX units. Now it is defined by new command named "FX Store Preset". It's something that was already in traktor but haven't been mappable till now.

Hey, I've been having an issue with the instant gratification mapping: when I installed the mapping to Traktor 2.5.1, many of the effect slots were incorrect. Some of the LEDs seem to malfunction too...like when you lock an effect on by hitting the bank button, the effects that are on don't always stay lit. I fixed the effect slot issue manually by going in button by button and changing them all to what they should be (using my old laptop's traktor settings as a guide)....HOWEVER...

Today I was having issues with the midi output on my S4 and backed up my settings. When I imported them back, all of the effect slots were messed up again! Seems odd that settings which I had configured right in my own copy of Traktor would get messed up with a simple export and import process. Any ideas? I'd hate to think that every time I backup my settings I'll have to go through and reset all of the midi fighter effect slot assignments...
