This is what made me get one and I use it in the same way now.

Mike (DJ Endo) his tech guy who travels with him developed Ali's setup.. he frequents this board, maybe he can give the definative answer... Mike is very knowledgable when it comes to all things Traktor. I was having an issue once when the X1 first came out and he fixed the issue for me in one simple answer... If he see's this thread I am sure he will chime in.

WOW that video was great for me as my sets are anything EDM...

I have seen the martinez Brothers in action but it's nice to other top DJ's who use Traktor without the love in of Pioneer. I assume he will use the clubs mixer and start from there with 2 x1 to control Traktor, I can see him switching to two F1's with two X1's and dropping Mashine as he could make the samples at home and put them into a Remix Deck set up. .

I have been asking myself if I should by two F1's as I only have just the one at the moment but my answer is clear now i'm of to get another F1 now..... Now I must find a similar Richie Hawtin Video anyone got any links...

Ton's of Video's over on the FRA909 channel on Youtube. Just do a youtube search fro FRA909.

Also I cant imagine them getting rid of the X1's. X1's are perfectly usable for Hawtins and Dubfires style of Djing. That's why Hawtin got rid of the Xone-1d's.

Plus I'm sure there is some vested interest in Native instruments from both of them.

The remix decks play prerecorded samples....so yes you can load in drums samples and play them on the fly with the remix decks like playing the pads live, but maschine is a sequencer and if its sequenced with traktor you can make up a drum pattern on the fly that maschine will record and play in time.

The way I would use my maschine is to have it exactly like dubfires because I want to bring more of a live performance to my dj sets
