it'll still be a while away as it's not in beta yet, but the the longer we wait the better it'll be on release.

Hey timmyboy, could you help me out with enigma? None of it makes sense to me!
I changed the MIDI channel on my X-Session Pro as it was conflicting with messages from another device. It can be done, but I found it to be a pain. Check the M-Audio website. You have to use a paperclip to push a button on the back while pressing one of the front buttons. Each of the buttons on the front corresponds to a different MIDI channel...check the documentation. However, the X-Session Pro has different "configurations" built in for each of those channels, so you have to change the the buttons behave (toggle vs. momentary, range of values for faders and knobs etc.) using a piece of software from the M-Audio website (Windows only...sorry no OSX for this). Surprisingly, for what looks like a toy device, the X-Session Pro has a lot of different parameters that can be changed. Once you have a configuration done for the MIDI channel you want, you "download" to the device and then reset it and select the appropriate MIDI channel.
Like I said, it can be done, but it is a pain.

Alright well I found a thread describing how to use enigma, and I've changed the channels on the two I'm messing with to try and get it working, but torq will still only take signal from one at a time. I even found two presets with completeley different cc messages then changed the channel on them and still nothing. I'm only able to get signal from one at a time, so i can deactivate one and use the other but that defeats the purpose. Does anyone think there's a way to do this, or should I just return them? Really don't wanna have to do that, I had high hopes of this turning into a good project, building custom cases and adding arcade buttons and what not, but this has to be figured out in the next two days or I will run out of time to return them.![]()

Anyone? Really need to figure this out.
Which thread did you find for enigma? It definitely isn't easy to setup or explain and took me a while to figure it out.
Each X-Session pro has control presets that are stored in the unit. You select a preset by using a paperclip to press the button on the back of the xsession labelled 'A' and then press one of the left transport buttons (play, cue, >>, <<). Did you do this after editing the presets in enigma?
I have never used torq so don't know what its midi learn is like.
I figured out enigma, but it turns out I forgot to install the last torq update, silly me. Hopefully this will fix it.
Thanks for the help guys, figured it out! I'll post a build thread soon of when I rig these things together.
Make sure you link build thread here.
I found those devices to be a bit slow with analog controls. Is it only me?
Many photons have died to bring you this information.
The build probably won't start for awhile, I've got other things to do. I also think I might switch to traktor, as the update for torq is terrible and avid is most likely dropping it. Sad day.![]()
