Oh yeah, still gotta save up for 600 more if I do though, gonna buy em new ^^
Next goal; djm 900 nexus ^^
I freakin love my nexus!!! Since my.buddy already had 850s i went high end mixer route first... best 1650 ive ever spent!! And you can get it for around 1500 now i hear.
Hm no, biggie then just have to put your tracks on 2 usb's...
Yeah…that's simper anyway. Plus, then a simple LAN reverse cable becomes your backup. And your 3rd USB key that cost the same like $14 each of the first 2 did.
Link? I can't seem to find anything like that on seagate's website.
I really don't think it's viable. Getting IOP requests from 2 sources at once wouldn't play well with the way hard drives work.
i agree, but doesn't 1 external hooked up to the 900s or 2000s with prolink basically do the same thing? whether it be a TB or simple SD or Flash thumb drive, it is still coming from one source. i'll post pics and send links when i get home and can do so and look up model #
No, it doesn't. The CDJ that actually has the drive plugged into it shares it over a network and controls the IOP requests.
The USB chipset in the hard drive and the chips on the drive aren't really meant to do what you're asking. I guess it's possible someone has come up with a device that does something similar just using USB, but unless you've used it like that, I think it's a lot more likely that it just has 2 different sized USB ports so that you don't have to worry as much about which cable you bring with it.
