I use cue points in almost every track I play. Just cause you might like to just play other peoples tracks doesn't mean none of us like to be creative.
Yeah I have that problem too. I'm working on a way to use multiple USB monitors in conjunction with controllers to still be able to use software, but not have to look at a laptop. Ideally it'll look just like Im looking at CDJ screens.
Mr PopinJay, I was thinking about the 1000s, but was kind of turned off since I frequently use Rekordbox. The SC900s look awesome, but I'm a little worried about their build quality. How is it?
Hoodless, I used them plenty actually. Sometimes I use them as a way to scratch certain parts of a track.
Saurus, very cool. Some buddies of mine cannot work without laptops, but I have noticed that they're more budget friendly and do plenty more without breaking the bank.

The SC2900 isn't out yet so we can't be sure but if they are anything like Denon's previous CD players you have nothing to worry about. If anything I wold say they feel like they are built better than Pioneers. I'm pretty excited about them myself!

Forgive me, I'm really unfamiliar with Denon. I did check out the teaser promo for them, and I must say... they look pretty awesome. Reading up some more, I noticed they implemented a software with Apple's Ipad. Engine is what its called, I believe. Never seen anything like that before.

i don't understand this mentality regarding looking at laptops. i've seen several people say this and grab a pair of cdjs so they can connect with the crowd better...how is looking at cdj screens any different than a laptop screen? the laptop has more information at your disposal if you choose to pay attention to it, but it isn't really necessary. i've used both and can't get my head around it. am i missing something here? is it that you just don't have the willpower to not look at the laptop the whole time?

CDJ screens are tiny and dark, don't really show anything and are not pointed at your face. They are not eye catching at all.
It's odd, when there's a screen right there in front of you it's soooo hard not to stare at it.

I have 2000s. I got mine at a great great price, and they are the tits. Seriously...
I would not downgrade to a 1000 at all ever. Even from 900s. 900s usb support alone makes it worth it.
As for the SC3900 or 2900, for me, those screen are just too small to display everything I want. A huge reason I went for 2000s was the screen
What do you think of the SC3900/2900's ability to use an ipad instead of the screen?![]()
