    Personally, I prefer Traktor, because of the layout. It Has a much better FX unit plus beat grids(for Auto Sync) for a beginner. Now before all the Vinyl purists attack me for encouraging sync, I'm not. I'm just explaining that if thats something you would want or need, Traktor is probably a better option.

    I should mention that Serato has tempo and beat sync, but it has no beat grids. beat sync works by snapping the two closest transients together, this means the timing of the two tracks has to be close before the beat sync will work.
