    Traktor is a beast of an application, using and figuring out the different functions takes time... Learning how to effectively use loops and effects is a ton of fun, you know you are on the right track when it starts to feel like an instrument. Practice mixing both structured and free form sets and have fun. The more you play with the controller, the more nimble you will be with being able either do what you plan or what you are improvising. Have fun, listen to other mixes, pay attention to your friends when they play and learn to play together.

    um the next step after getting a controller is to get some music.... preferably music of the same genre and similar bpm.... start mixing intro's over outros. don't use the sync button. grid and cue your phrases correctly and you wont problems.

    Yeah kind wish that sync button didn't exist lol but I started messing around the beat masher and delays! Pretty neat stuff. I think my main weakness right now is transitions between cue points on drops.
