Young DJ looking for reasonably priced PA system with good low end

i myself got a PA recently that is focused on dubstep/d&b i got 2x behringer eurolive b215d (550W peak, think it was 450W rms) and a behringer eurolive b1800d-pro (1400W peak 1000W rms). the system has 2500W peak and i think 1900w rms (could be more), this cost me round 6000 sek (600-700 dollars, or something like that) might be above your current budget but i would strongly recommend to save up and then buy this system. it is easily balanced and sounds great (compared it to a 10 year old concert pa, a b&W hifi system, and a cervin vega system, still managed to sound solid and hold up its own), hope this helps

It depends the kkind of thumpp you are looking for.
I have two 15'' speaker and an 18'' sub, and to be truthfull, ith not the thump im looking for.
I'm planing to add 2 12'' subs to make it more thump then boom.

If you dint buy anything, 2 options.

Option 1 : Rent ! it costs almoost nothing from some places and keep the profit till you have enough to buy something decent.

Behringer are ok, EV just came out with new speakers, 399.99 for a 1000W, 12'' powered speaker.

I have all ev, elx series, it sounds insane!!

The B52 Matrix 1000v2 is about $1000 out the door - with stands, and longer cables. For your application, that is the cheapest system I would recommend. This system is "active" and that will provide some protection against the user turning it up too loud.

Given you budget....if you are willing to compromise on the low end....the RCF 312A is good value for money in a top. You could afford one. Later, as you make $$$ add another. When you get even more $$$ add an active sub. For $1500 total, you will have a very good PA system that will provide years of service...and you get to spend that in roughly $500 increments.

How are your woodworking skills? About the best you can do is buy some fairly cheap used mains and build your own passive subs.

subs need a crossover though. I'm down with passive mains and monitors, but subs need to be tuned, they need crossovers, not to mention they chug enough power to often need their own power supply. I would have the man shoot for a powered sub with the power and the crossover integrated into the unit already.
