Due to the rights issue, the best you can hope for is that CDJs will display whatever's written in the key field rather than translating.
??? That's exactly what I did, I keyed everything with MIK and then imported it into rekordbox and the key shows up in camelot code just fine on my CDJs.

I think he is talking about Rekordbox using the option of the camelot system to detect keycodes... not the ability for it to read MIK's tags.

Yeah that's exactly what I meant. As in implementing a camelot system to the Rekordbox system.

Seriously debating getting Mixed In Key, but I don't know if I want to shell out the $60 for it since Rekordbox does the same thing (although its going to be a giant pain in my ass to go through each track and re-write it to the camelot system).

I changed all the keys in rekordbox for all my tracks In a matter of 20 min. Just sort all your tracks by key, select the first group of keys, open the info tab and change the standard key to the corresponding Camelot key for all those tracks at once. Doesn't matter if you have 1000 or 10000 tracks. And it also works with the traffic light feature

I think taking a few minutes and familiarizing yourself with conventional key notation is going to be a lot easier than rewriting thousands of tags, or purchasing redundant software.

I seriously don't quite grasp the obsession with Camelot notation, the funny symbols in classic notation aren't that difficult to get to grips with.

Wait what? Both mine and my friends 850s will show the camelot code for a track if I scroll down for the info when it's loaded to play.

In the "comment" field, not in the designated "key" field you can sort by. IIRC.
