My best advice.. copy your stuff to usb with rekordbox. find someone you know with CDJ2000's and get the feel for them. It is also possible the DJM900 is not a nexus model... be prepared for that.
maybe even go to your local DJ shop or guitar center type place and mix for an hour or so (heck try your whole set). they usually dont mind. especially if you go when they are slow like early afternoon and you are interested in purchasing a set.
Where ever you get hands on, you could practice setting up your laptop on them.
Then use what the club has. It can be a bit nerve wracking to try and learn new gear on the fly while under pressure to perform such an important set for you. I know I was pretty nervous my first time at a club. Honestly though, the 2000's are pretty intuitive once you get into the groove. you dont need to know all the secrets of them day one..
If you dont get time on the gear beforehand. consider bringing your normal setup. I am assuming you know there if there is room in the booth for it. less pressure on you to work on what your familiar with.. any way about it.. see if you can get in just before they open and check out the situation. Many places are pretty cool.
@dj gullum, thanks for the rekord buddy link. I did not know it existed. I see it can copy over the first 3 hot cues. can it pull over the beatgrids or do i have re-grid my stuff?
