And here I thought he wanted to DJ oh well to each their own. I definately dont recommend trying to scratch on the Stantons then.

Good luck to you and have fun, I despise scratching, think it sounds god awful, and has been developed as the perfect way to completely destroy a song because a hip hop mix brings nothing else to the table...lol (Just my opinion without my morning coffee )

If your goal is to scratch, get one quality super oem or Technics turntable. Play beats off an iPod on the other channel. You can also invest in a timecode setup like Serato and use Instant Doubles to get by on one turntable.

Follow Karlo's advice. That mixer has mini innofaders on board which are the same as the one in the z2. DJWORX rate it and they are the go to ppl for anything scratch related.

As for turntables, the Numark TTX decks are awesome for scratching. Beware: the ttx1 (the original model) is known to overheat with prolonged scratching and can require one of the ic chips to be replaced. I had a pair of the ttx1s and never had the issue but ever went on multi-hour scratch sessions.

I now have the 1200 mk5s but really only got them because I sold my original 1210s and never recovered from the emotional loss. Techs are a better long term investment but don't buy them because people tell you they are the only "pro" deck.

image.jpgThe Audio Technica 1240's are super oem as well. They cost less and look pretty slick. Everyone I know that has them really loves them.
